Katerina Haaland is a Norway-based artist who works with plants, under the name ATELIER FRØ. She collects plants and seasonal materials from the landscape and uses them to make sculptures and installations. She often combines fresh and dried plants in the same piece.

The plants are the work itself. Sometimes she brings in mirror, glass, recycled paper, or found objects as well. What she keeps coming back to is belonging, fragility, and how closely we are tied to the natural world.

She is drawn to things that change and fade, and she hopes her work makes people slow down and pay more attention to what is growing around them.
