Curatory is an independent online art magazine and creative collective. We feature contemporary artists through profiles, interviews, curated selections, open calls for future issues, and collaborative projects. Our platform offers visibility, publication opportunities, and a community space for emerging and established artists.

2. Submission Process

 

To submit your work, you’ll need to complete the submission form and agree to these Terms. No account registration is required.

3. Submission Fee

There is no submission fee to send in your work. However, if your work is selected, a participation fee may apply depending on the feature type. 

4. Content Rights and Usage

​

• Artists grant Curatory the right to display selected works in online articles, social media posts, printed materials, posters, and other promotional formats related to Curatory.

• These usage rights are non-exclusive and do not affect your ownership.

• You can continue using your work elsewhere without restriction.

5. Copyright

• All submitted work remains the intellectual property of the artist. Curatory does not claim ownership beyond the non-exclusive publishing and promotional rights described above.

6. Limitation of Liability

​

Curatory is not liable for any damages, loss of data, or issues that may arise from using our platform. Submissions are made at your own discretion and risk.

7. Privacy Policy

Curatory respects your privacy. Here’s how we handle your data:

• What We Collect: Name, email address, and other details you provide when submitting work or subscribing.

• How We Use It: To manage submissions, provide updates, send relevant Curatory news, and communicate about upcoming issues and opportunities.

• Cookies: We use cookies to improve your experience, track analytics, and tailor content or ads.

• Data Sharing: We never sell or trade your data. We only share it if required by law or for service delivery.

• Your Rights: You can request to access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time. You can also unsubscribe from communications.

• Security: We use standard security measures, but no system is 100% secure.

By using Curatory, you consent to this policy.

8. Artist Submission Terms

Upon selection, the following modular fees apply based on the artist's preference indicated during submission:

• Featured Artist Showcase: €30 (Standard editorial feature: 3-6 pages).

• In-Depth Artist Interview: €50 (Extended editorial feature: 4-7 pages).

• Social Media Add-on: €20 (Optional dedicated post on @curatory.magazine Instagram). This fee is additional and must be combined with a Featured or Interview selection.

Payment: Fees are non-refundable once the production phase (layout and design) has commenced. Failure to complete payment within the timeframe specified in the selection email may result in the forfeiture of the publication slot.

Selecting the "Social Media Add-on" during submission indicates your interest, but does not guarantee a post. The editorial team reviews all candidates and will only charge the additional €20 fee if your work is specifically selected for the Instagram Feed. If you are selected for the magazine but not for the Instagram promotion (Social Media Add-on), you will only be required to pay the base fee (Featured or Interview).

• Curatory content is for informational purposes only. While we do our best to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee it.

• We are not responsible for user-submitted content or external links.

• Any third-party services (e.g., printing, payment processing) used outside of Curatory are at your own discretion.
