Adrián Guerrero
Adrián Guerrero Castellanos trained as an architect and later earned a master’s degree in philosophy in the social sciences. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1975, he has been exhibiting since 2004, with shows in Mexico, Spain, the UK, the US, Italy, South Korea and Singapore, among other countries.

His work is abstract and uses simple forms. He works in paint, ceramics, bronze and copper, and many of his pieces seem to have no mass at all. Philosophy runs through the work, but he does not illustrate ideas directly.

Time is one of his main subjects. He works in series and uses mathematical elements, references to architecture and repeated everyday actions. His architectural training shows in how he thinks about space, scale and volume.

Recent shows include The Restless Order at S Gallery in Madrid this year and Time Is Nothing at Museo Cabañas in Guadalajara in 2023. In 2025 he took part in the 20th Rufino Tamayo National Painting Biennial in Oaxaca, and in 2012 he showed at Palazzo Bembo during the Venice Biennale.
