The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College reaches 300 years in 2026. Designed by Sir James Thornhill and completed in the early 18th century, the space is known for its large-scale painted interior covering the walls and ceiling.

Following a major conservation project completed in 2019, the hall reopened to the public and has since welcomed more than one million visitors. The space is used throughout the year for events, performances, and installations.
