Location: Bitter Gallery, New York
Date: On view through November 30, 2025
Project: A collection of ceramic pieces made over the past year
Why it Matters: It highlights the artist’s current direction and the way the works speak to each other in the space

Bitter Gallery is showing The Good Chyna, a new series by Noa Ironic. The ceramic paintings are installed across two long walls, and each work has enough space to be seen clearly while still connecting to the next. The figures appear in everyday situations, with moments that feel funny, awkward or calm.

The surfaces show how the pieces were made. You can see fingerprints, seams, uneven glaze and quick brush marks. The works feel immediate and honest, and the show keeps this straightforward tone throughout.

Some pieces focus on small conflicts, others on simple gestures. Seen together, they give a clear sense of how the artist is working and what interests her right now. The Good Chyna is on view through November 30.
