Location: Fondation H, Antananarivo and Paris
Date: January – July 2026 (France) / April – October 2026 (Madagascar)
Project: Exhibitions, artist award, and residency programme
Why it Matters: A cross-continental programme highlighting contemporary practices from Madagascar, Africa, and its diaspora

In Antananarivo, Fondation H presents two parallel exhibitions from April to October 2026. A new curatorial reading of the Fondation H collection by Abdellah Karroum is shown alongside Les mains des poètes, a solo exhibition by M’barek Bouhchichi developed through extended research in Madagascar. Together, the projects focus on transmission, memory, and the circulation of knowledge across generations and cultures.

The programme also includes Prix Paritana, Fondation H’s annual award supporting contemporary Malagasy artists. The 2025 laureate, Chloé Soafaniry Ramanankasina, will present a solo exhibition at the Institut Français de Madagascar in April 2026.

In Paris, Fondation H continues its Mizaha Paris residency and exhibition programme. Artists Priscilla Kennedy and Joey Aresoa will each undertake three-month research residencies at the Cité internationale des arts, followed by solo exhibitions at Fondation H’s Paris space between March and July 2026, extending the institution’s focus on artists from Africa and its diaspora.
